Valley of Fire

I said it years ago and my mind can’t be changed. Valley of Fire is one of my favorite parks, and it wins over some national parks.

If you’re in the Vegas area, it’s less than an hour away and dog friendly. Spring is the time to go, before the heat.

Get there early. Pack lunch and sit in the shady picnic areas. Water, hats, sunscreen. Keep your eyes peeled for bighorn sheep.
