Note
How many days in Grand Teton
July 17, 2026

One day works if you’re just driving through. To actually experience the park, we recommend at least four full days.
Day 1: Cascade Canyon. 9–10 miles round trip, moderate. Take the Jenny Lake boat shuttle. Continue to Lake Solitude if it’s within your ability — about 14–15 miles round trip.
Day 2: Lakes + scenic drives. Sunrise at Jenny, String, Leigh, or Jackson Lake. Morning along the shoreline or paddling, afternoon on Moose-Wilson Road, Antelope Flats Road, or another scenic stretch. Plan ahead to rent paddleboards outside the park.
Day 3: A bigger hike. Delta Lake, 7–8 miles, strenuous — the final section is an unmaintained route with loose rock, route-finding, and a steep boulder field. Or Surprise + Amphitheater Lakes, 10–11 miles, strenuous, two high-elevation lakes beneath Disappointment Peak.
Day 4: Sunrise + your own adventure. Schwabacher Landing or Mormon Row. Then Taggart Lake (3–4 miles, easy to moderate), swim at Phelps Lake, rent bikes, look for wildlife, or tackle Paintbrush Canyon.
