Lake Solitude

Everyone talks about Lake Solitude, but the hike itself is what makes this one so memorable.

About 14.4 miles round trip if you take the Jenny Lake boat shuttle, with roughly 2,300 feet of elevation gain. Without the boat, closer to 18 miles.

Plan for a full day. Bring water, food, sun protection, and layers. If the full distance feels like too much, hike into Cascade Canyon and turn around whenever you’re ready.
