Grand Prismatic Spring

Grand Prismatic is the largest hot spring in the US. Bigger than a football field, deeper than a ten-story building.

The colors come from heat-loving bacteria in the changing temperatures.

If you go in cool weather, steam can hide the blue in the center. Warmer days, or the overlook trail, give you a clearer look.
