Chalky blue water and two moose

Assignment ten was done, and we celebrated by road-tripping to Glacier.

We lucked out on Going-to-the-Sun Road permits, found last-minute campground reservations on a holiday weekend, and had more animal sightings than we expected.

This lake was a chalky blue that did not look real. We spent the afternoon walking the shore and wading in icy water. A cow moose and her calf on one side, a huge bull on the other.

We thought this was our favorite Glacier hike. Until the next day.
